Corona Hits Hollywood
There's no more running for 63 year old actor Tom Hanks. On Wednesday, Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, announced that they both have recently tested positive for the Coronavirus. In a statement through their representative, Hanks said that the two contracted the virus while in Australia filming an Elvis Presley Biopic.
In the statement, Hanks goes into detail about the various symptoms that him and his wife both shared and what the next steps would be for the couple. Hanks tries to keep a light hearted view on the situation by adding to the statement, "Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We'll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves!" With this being the first diagnosis of someone in Hollywood, it has everyone shocked and on edge about this new virus. However, in this unexpected situation, fans and Hanks himself try to remain positive and hopeful, and in the words of Forest Gump's mother, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."
