LeBron's on the Move and Cleveland's Cleaning House
The King will be in LA next basketball season and Cleveland
is already preparing for the move. The giant 10-story banner of Lebron James hovering
downtown Cleveland is scheduled to be removed on Tuesday.
This past Sunday, James announced his four-year, $153
million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. He hasn’t signed a deal that long
since his six-year sign with the Miami Heat in 2010. That means he is expecting
some big things this season, and so are the fans because ticket
sales are skyrocketing.
Rajon Rondo is also joining the team. He signed his
one-year, $9 million contract not more than 24 hours after LeBron James. Rondo
reportedly turned down his renewal offer with the Pelicans to take this deal
and will be competing
with 20-year-old Lonzo Ball for starting rights.
It seems that the Warriors and Cavaliers finals streak may come
to an end this season. What that means for Cleveland? We’ll just have to stay
tuned.
