Cardi B Conquers! First female rapper with two number one hits on Billboard Hot 100!

            Cardi B, 25, has once again conquered the charts and regained the top spot on Billboard Hot 100 with her new single, “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin. With her recent accomplishment, Cardi has made history as the first female rapper that’s landed two Billboard Hot 100 singles in the number one spot. 

Her first song to top the charts was, “Bodak Yellow“ which was the first female rap song to top the charts solo since Lauren Hill in 1998. Next, she became the first female rapper to hold the number one spot for 3 consecutive weeks. Now with her newest hit single, she has regained her spot at the top and has rewritten history.

Cardi B took to social media to show her excitement. She recently posted on Twitter, “I’m emotional bro my fans really worked they ass off to get me this number one!!”. Another post on Instagram showed Cardi B doing her signature move to celebrate her new hit single. 

This has been a great year for the record-breaking rapper with her single “Bardi Cardi” going platinum. Winning the BET award for Best female rapper and for viewer’s choice. Stealing the iHeart music award for best new Hip-hop Artist and snatching the number one spot not once, but twice on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
