For a family known for promoting their every move in the media, how did they manage to hide their biggest secret yet?

The youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner klan, Kylie Jenner, 20 and rapper Travis Scott, 25 welcomed a “sweet, sweet” baby girl into the world on Thursday. For months, Kylie and her family shut down pregnancy rumors and avoided the question in interviews, but after Sunday, we now know why. Three days after giving birth, Kylie decided that it was time to let her fans know what they’ve been waiting to hear for months and why she kept her pregnancy a secret.

The makeup mogul and reality star decided that for once, the world wouldn’t be involved in one of the most significant moments of her life. “I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how.” Jenner also apologized for keeping her fans in the dark and posted a 12 minute video on her youtube channel documenting the entire nine month process. The video, titled “To Our Daughter,” includes the gender reveal, baby shower, and moments of Jenner in labor. Jenner has not yet announced the name of her baby girl, so fans are still on edge and demanding to know.
