TMB's NAACP Image Awards Recap

On Monday night, the NAACP held their 49th Annual Image Awards hosted by Anthony Anderson. 

The event brought honorable people of color together to acknowledge their achievements in film, music, television and much more entertainment.

Although each and every star popped out, some stars' outfits really caught attention. Halle Berry appeared in a black and red gown that was sheer in just the right places and Kerry Washington who was a great sight for soar eyes in black. star and creator of Insecure Issa Rae dazzled in a breathtaking turquoise-and-silver sequined gown.  

Other standout attendees last night included Tracee Ellis Ross, actress Yara Shahidi from “Grown-ish,” “Orange Is the New Black” star Laverne Cox, Loretta Devine, Niecy Nash and the four co-hosts of "The Real".  

The Black Girl and Boy Magic didn't even end on the red carpet. Newcomer Daniel Kaluuya won Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in “Get Out,” “Girls Trip” won Outstanding Motion Picture, both Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross took home Outstanding Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series for their roles in “`black-ish,” and many more.

With all the Black Excellence and Black Beauty all in one place, the evening was nothing less than magical.
