Beyoncé’s Stylist Collaborates with Barbie
Sure, we’re grown-ups,
but that doesn’t mean we can’t be fully excited about a brand new collection of
Barbies! Not just any Barbies though, Beyoncé-inspired Barbies.
The superstar’s personal
stylist Marni Senofonte, who is responsible for Bey’s iconic Lemonade
and Formation World Tour looks, has collaborated with Matel on new ensembles for
the doll, including denim silhouettes and Victorian Punk numbers that
are a nod to some of the singer’s most iconic moments.
Senofonte realized her
fashion story through denim, a fabric she loves because of its fluid nature. “Denim
transcends its stereotype, which is why I use it so often in styling,” she
explained. “It’s masculine and feminine, as well as being both compliant and
rebellious.”
The dolls aren’t up for
grabs just yet, but I love the Beyoncé-reminiscent looks. Images of Senofonte's
designs were revealed Thursday on the @barbiestyle account, which boasts 1.7
million followers and showcases Barbie's never-ending clothing choices — not
unlike Bey.
