Orange Is The New Black Season 5 Release Date Announced

The ladies of Litchfield are set to take the summer of 2017 by storm as Netflix series Orange Is the New Black returns. The anticipation for the fifth season has fans on edge since the fourth left many questioning if Daya shoots CO Humphrey or how the prisoners intend to avenge Poussey’s tragic death?

Netflix debuted a teaser for Jenji Kohan’s comedy at a press event on Wednesday, giving fans a sigh of relief as they announced the official release date: June 9. However, we do have some sad news for those die-hard binge watchers. This year OITNB isn’t giving away all the goods in one day like it has in the past. The series plans to release 13 episodes over the course of 3 days! Details about what’s to come of the season are still being kept under wraps, but be on the lookout for the official season 5 trailer coming soon.
