Supermodel Tyra Banks shocked the world when she announced on Instagram that she was now a mommy.

 

This is Tyra’s first child with her photographer boyfriend Erik Asla.

 

She posted a simple picture of a baby hat with a heartfelt message attached. In her message, the former talk show host thanked the “angel of a woman” who carried the baby to term.

 

The 42-year-old model has opened up publicly about her fertility struggles. 

 

“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin,” the Life Size actress wrote on Instagram. “As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”

 

Can we say future Gerber baby model? I think so.
