A Million-Dollar Mistake
Blake Shelton proceeded in taking legal action against In
Touch Weekly for false claims affirming that alcohol contributed to his divorce
from Miranda Lambert and that the singer’s future will consist of rehab.
Shelton filed a defamation lawsuit against the tabloid
magazine, seeking more than $1 million over the false cover story, in the Los
Angeles County Superior Court.
The lawsuit claims that “In Touch” has repetitively
published incorrect information against the singer and his divorce.
"Blake Shelton has had enough," lawyers of Shelton
stated. “Mr. Shelton is not in rehab and has no plans to go to rehab."
In addition to finances, Shelton wants a restriction that will
stop In Touch Weekly from repeating the same offenses.
