Saturday Night Live
icon Maya Rudolph is at it again! The queen of celebrity impressions is known
for her hilarious impersonations of Beyonce, Whitney Houston, and Oprah
Winfrey. But nothing can top her latest act: Rachel Dolezal. After the news
spread about Dolezal pretending to be a black woman, Rudolph and her fans knew
that this was her time to shine. She recently appeared on Late Night With Seth
Meyers to give her fans what they’ve been waiting for, and she nailed it!
Maya Rudolph explained to her former SNL cast mate,Seth,
that this is her “Sarah Palin” moment. Tina Fey, another SNL alum, will always
be remembered for her spot on impressions of Sarah Palin. Maya explained to the
Late Night host, “I remember Tina saying, like, when Sarah Palin was happening,
everyone kept saying, ‘You gotta play Sarah Palin.’ But it happens to me every
day. People are like, ‘Oh, its too bad! You haven’t been on SNL since 2007.
Like, you have to play this lady!”
As if the biracial comedian couldn’t get any funnier, she
placed an insanely curly wig on top of her head. She continued to channel her
inner Rachel Dolezel by telling tall tales and showing confusion about her
racial identity. This impersonation is definitely one for the books. Thank you
for still making us laugh, Maya!
